GERRY hodges IS a veteran COMEDIC TALENT that has performeD all over North America.
He started his comedy career in halifax, Nova scotia with the 'comedy dawgs' Through fellow veteran comic paul ash. Gerry has been active since 2006.
Gerry uses a mix of TONGUE-in-cheek style with a straight forward then quirky/Out in left field with a touch of '...yeah...'. he has opened & worked along side comedic talents such as Jim leahy (trailer park boys), tracey macdonald (CBS 'star search'), dylan rhymer & Wafik nasrella (Comedy Now!), shawn majumder (this hour has 22 minutes), NathaN mACINTOSH (tHE tONIGHT SHOW, THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT & CONAN), Gavin Stephens (Comedy Inc.) & doug stanhope ('The man show' & 'just for laughs').
from february 2013 - june 2014, gerry was in the guinness world records for a group event in halifax, ns. the event was to raise money for mental health canada.
gerry has been a referee for professional wrestling promotions in canada (2003-2018). he has worked with wrestlers such as bushwhacker luke (The bushwackers), 'leaping' lanny poffo (brother of 'macho man' randy savage), Pierre Carl Ouellet (Quebecer pierre aka P.C.O.), jake 'the snake' roberts (WWF/E) and 2 cold scorpio (ECW, WCW & WWF/E as flash funk).
Most recently (2023), gerry has performed at the Finger Lakes Comedy Festival in Ithaca, NY.
Producing and hosting:
gerry has produced numerous stand-up comedy shows In-Person and online. from April 2020 - October 2022, he ran 'No Line to cross comedy' on zoom which allows amateur and professional comedians to connect worldwide during the Covid-19 pandemic.
